School Meals

Changes to menu

We must apologise but due to faults with the kitchen ovens changes been made to the current menu.  Unfortunately, this problem looks to continue for at least another week.  Wherever possible selections will be the same but so that parents are aware I have listed the menu for week beginning 20th September.  If you have selected main, vegetarian, pasta or jacket we will keep with this selection unless you would like to make an adjustment or wish to send your child with a packed lunch.  If you wish to make changes please contact me via Class Dojo or call the office on 01562 823857.

The kitchens are trying really hard to rectify the problem as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your understanding

Mrs Calder

When we return in September our hot lunches provider will be Chartwells who will be providing lunches for all the school in Victoria Academies Trust.  The menu for the first half-term is available to order from on Parentpay and is a mixture of old favourites and some new dishes.  We are hoping that in September we will be able to host some tasting sessions so that parents and pupils can sample some of the new options.

Remember that pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free hot lunch so please make sure you take up the opportunity.  You can do selected days if you want or book for the whole week. You can select from a main meal or a vegetarian option, as well as there always being the alternative of pasta or jacket potato everyday.

If you have any queries regarding lunches please message Mrs Calder on Class Dojo or call the school office.

Lunchtime orders

Please place all lunch orders through the Parentpay app.  Meals need to be ordered by midnight on a Wednesday night for the following week.  Meals can be ordered up until the end of the following term.  Any queries with meal orders please contact the School office 01562 823857.

Universal Free School Meals

All children in Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 and entitled to a free school meal under the universal free school meal scheme.  This is not to be confused with Free School Meals which requires an application from parents and is subject to eligibility.

The caterers provide a hot meal daily or a jacket potato if preferred.  The menu is published and distributed termly along order forms.  We encourage children to take up a hot meal but if they would prefer a sandwich this can be arranged, please speak to the school office staff.
